Air Temperature K-type thermocouple probe

Optimize Your Environment with Precision

Measuring air temperature requires more than a basic sensor. Standard probes often react too slowly because air does not transfer heat effectively. The Air Temperature K-type thermocouple probe solves this problem. It features a specialized design that maximizes exposure to the surrounding atmosphere. This ensures you get the most accurate data in the shortest time possible.

Why Air-Specific Probes Matter

A standard liquid probe has a solid sheath that insulates the sensor. In contrast, an air probe uses a vented shield or an exposed bead. This design allows air to flow directly over the thermocouple junction.

  • Ultra-Fast Response: The vented tip provides instant feedback on temperature changes.

  • Vibration Resistance: High-quality construction ensures the probe stays accurate in heavy industrial machinery.

  • Universal Compatibility: The mini K-type connector fits your existing handheld meters and data loggers.

  • Durable Housing: Stainless steel components protect the delicate sensor from dust and debris.

Versatile Applications

This probe is essential for HVAC technicians balancing air distribution systems. It also works perfectly for monitoring industrial drying ovens and laboratory incubators. If you need to track ambient conditions in a warehouse or computer server room, this tool delivers the reliability you need. The lightweight design makes it easy to hold for long inspection rounds or mount permanently in a duct.

The HI766D is an air and gas K-type thermocouple probe with a handle designed for use with a thermocouple thermometer. A green cable extends 1 m (3.3’) from the handle to the thermocouple connector with the meter. The vent holes at the tip of the probe allow users to obtain highly accurate temperature readings of air and gases.
